Annual plan review -- 2 months before renewal, I will talk with the company to make sure that the medical plan currently in place, still fits well. Things change in a year at most companies, new people may have been hired, and this works very effectively to ensure that the benefits package fits your company. What worked last year or a few years ago, may not be appealing today.
Drug and Doctor Coverage Review -- Often times there are people in the company that have specific doctors they want to keep relationships with, and there are those that need to take certain medications regularly. We will actually verify that the doctors that your key people want to have are, in fact, covered on the new plan. And, we will research the medications to discover which plans cover which medications. They are all different. There might be 2 very similar plans, and perhaps only one of them covers a given drug. By examining the needs of the company, we are able to recommend the most sensible health plans.
Hospital locater by your home -- You wouldn't think this is a problem, but did you know that there are LOTS of people that live between 2 hospitals, one of which might be a "covered" hospital, while the other is NOT. I will research for EACH EMPLOYEE based on their home address which hospital near them is a "network covered" hospital. That way, in the event of an emergency, they won't have to guess which hospital is going to accept their insurance or not.
Service AFTER the sale -- There are going to be issues that come up for the employees during the course of the year you have your health insurance plan. You can count on me to be available for these situations. I have one group with a $2500 deductible PPO plan. One employee called me because he thought that a procedure he needed done on his back, which was going to cost $460 in out of pocket expenses, was going to require him to pay the entire $2500 FIRST before he could pay his $460.
